The Honorary Curator, Brian Wimsett, is involved in the general day to day running of the museum. He is also one of the volunteers who open the museum at weekends during the season and generally shows round the parties that have booked to visit the museum.
Tom Hill, who is a former Trustee and Secretary of the Wye Rural Museum Trust, is also involved in the day to day running of the museum and assists in showing large parties round. As a mark of the enormous work that he does on behalf of the museum, the meeting room has been named after him.
At weekends you are very likely to meet one or more of our band of voluntary helpers. Without these willing enthusiasts it would be difficult for us to keep the museum open even for the present limited hours. Most of the Volunteers are residents of Brook or Wye. We are always happy to receive additional offers of help, either with the manning of the Museum at open times or with conservation work on the exhibits. Please contact Brian Wimsett if the idea of offering some help appeals to you.
